As part of AANLCP’s strategic plan, it is our goal to seek specialty practice recognition with the American Nurses Association (ANA). A call for Public Comment has been requested by ANA for the approval of a: Draft Recognition of a Nursing Specialty, Approval of a Specialty Nursing Scope of Practice Statement, Acknowledgment of Specialty Nursing Standards of Practice, and Affirmation of Focused Practice Competencies.
Please encourage colleagues, students, organizations, and other stakeholders to also review and submit a comment. The request for Public Comment closes April 24, 2017 and we are urging each member to take action and use this opportunity to contribute to ANA’s focus on transparency and recognition of the important insights of public examination of its products. Please let your voice be heard by reviewing the document and submitting a comment. The closing date for submission of comments is midnight EDT April 24, 2017.
